What to expect

The Educational Resource Street Fair is a social network of people helping parents, grandparents, caregivers and extended family members prepare their children for school.

Students can register for ERSF online or on-site. After registration, a passport is issued on-site to each student. The passport allows the student to receive information and stamps from various booths; after receiving five passport stamps the student can pick up books, backpacks, rain jackets and school supplies (while they last). Students also have an opportunity to register early and submit an essay in the writing contest to win a laptop computer.

The street fair brings together people with common interests from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, ages and socioeconomic levels into a community relationship filled with people, food, music, culture, tools and resources available in the community. Everyone participating in ERSF is engaged in building a healthy community that thrives and supports vulnerable children, youth and low-wage families.

Register for the fair

Online registration has closed for this year's street fair. Parents and students may still register at the fair.

To earn free school supplies students must be present and registered for the fair. Please bring your student ID and—if you registered online—confirmation number to the registration booth on Saturday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to pick up your student passport. If you have your online registration confirmation number you can use the express line to speed through the process.
